Can you tell me about the river?The Shubenacadie River is a river in Nova Scotia, Canada. It has a meander length of approximately 72 km from its source at Grand Lake.

What class whitewater rafting is it?The Shubenacadie River is a class 3 river, but don`t let that fool you, as its on of the top 5 rivers in Canada for whitewater rafting.

Can you tell me about your gear?We do our adventures with 16ft zodiacs powered with 60hp motors, so there is no paddling involved. Rain gear is provided on colder days and of course we have Transport Canada approved life jackets.

How many people fit in a raft?Our boats fit 8 people plus your guide.

Do we have to be in tip top shape?As long as you can hold on you're good to go.

How long are your tidal bore rafting trips?We offer 3 trips: upper sction or lower sction of the river (approx 2hrs) or the full tour (approx 4hr)

Can I take my kids tidal bore rafting?Kids are more then welcome to come out, but we do recommend the low-medium tides for the youngsters.

What do I wear for rafting?We recommend wearing old or dark clothing as the Bay Of Fundy water can stain light colored clothes and of course dress for the weather. For footwear you should wear something that is strapped to your feet and provides good traction.

What should I bring?Change of clothes and a towel.

Can I do a high tide on a low tide day?With this type of rafting we can only offer what`s on our schedule as it`s all calculated by the strengths of the tides that are pushing it`s way into the river.

What is mud sliding?Mud sliding is exactly how it sounds. We enter a tributary that enters into the Shubenacadie River so you have a chance to get out of the boat and slide down the muddy banks.
